IS A BATTERY WORTH IT IN WA
For most Perth homes now, yes. Here's the honest maths.
WA's DEBS scheme pays only a few cents for power you export in the middle of the day, but Synergy charges you full price for what you buy back at 6pm. A battery moves your own solar from the cheap side of that gap to the expensive side. With the federal battery rebate taking a large slice off the upfront cost, payback on a right-sized battery has come down to a range that stacks up.
40–60kWhWe've installed 40kWh to 60kWh residential battery systems, including parallel setups in Clarkson, Mandurah, Port Kennedy and Scarborough. Big storage is normal work for us, not a special order.
Backup that actually works. We wire essential circuits, or the whole home, so an outage passes unnoticed.
Modular, so it grows. Sigenergy stacks add 9kWh modules later without starting again; Sungrow and AlphaESS available on request.
We'll tell you if it doesn't stack up. Low evening usage, or a roof that can't fit enough panels to fill it, and we'll say so.

How much does solar cost in Perth?A 6.6kW Sigenergy system with a 9kWh battery typically lands between $10,000 and $11,200 installed after both rebates. 10kW with an 18kWh battery and whole-home backup is $17,300 to $18,500 after both rebates; 13.3kW three-phase with 27kWh is $21,400 to $22,600. Adding an 18kWh battery to existing solar is $14,300 to $15,500. Your quote shows the exact number for your roof and usage, not a range.
What rebates apply right now?Federal STCs come straight off the solar price. The federal home battery rebate applies to eligible batteries. WA's DEBS pays a feed-in for exported power. We apply everything you qualify for before you see a price.
Single phase or three phase, and does it limit me?Most Perth homes are single phase, which caps inverter export at 5kW under Western Power rules but doesn't stop you installing more panels or a battery. Three phase removes the cap and suits large systems and 22kW EV chargers. Not sure? Pick "Not sure" on the quote form and we'll work it out from your bill.
Do you handle Western Power and Synergy?Yes. We lodge the connection application, manage the meter change and set up your export tariff. You get a text when you're connected.
Will you subcontract my install?No. The licensed PPS electrician who quotes your job is on your roof on install day and signs off the compliance paperwork.
What's the warranty?Panels typically carry 25-year performance warranties and inverters 10 years, backed by the manufacturer. Our workmanship is guaranteed, and because we're the installer and the electrician, there's one number to call if anything needs looking at.
